CASHMERE CARE
HAND WASH
We recommend to wash your cashmere by hand in cold or lukewarm water using cashmere/wool detergent. Please do not wring.
MACHINE WASH
Cashmere can be washed in a washing machine only on delicate, hand-wash or wool setting with cold or a maximum temperature of 30°C water. We recommend using cashmere/wool detergent, placing each cashmere piece in a separate laundry bag and washing like colours together.
With substantial stains we recommend a professional cleaning service.
DRYING
After washing please lay your cashmere flat on a towel, roll it loosely and press lightly to remove excess water, unroll and let air-dry flat. Avoid hanging as it can cause unnecessary stretching.
STORING
For longer periods of storage please make sure your cashmere is clean first and then place it in a breathable storage bag, preferably with a moth repellant.
IRONING AND PILLING
Cashmere can be ironed on a low heat setting, place a thin damp cloth between the iron and cashmere to avoid direct contact. If steaming, please keep a distance between the hot surface and the cashmere.
Pilling is normal with cashmere and wool fibres, you may use a cashmere comb to gently remove them. With proper care of cashmere, pilling will lessen over time.
